Our Vision & What We Believe

Vision Statement

To become a great multilingual ministry church that provides Christian fellowship and equipping the saints for the discipleship of Jesus Christ in order to fulfill His Great Commission throughout local and global community.

 

Tri-Vision Defined

Our first dimension is the Evangelism vision. We see our church as the resource for actively engaging in the local community with the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ. We hope to reach the level of commitment that through our church’s mission for the lost souls, many may come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

The second dimension is the Discipleship vision. We aim to be the source of providing and producing Disciples of Christ, who will serve God faithfully in His ministry. The church being the center of training and learning of God’s word, we seek to instill His word within each and every member.

The third dimension is the vision of Fellowship amongst believers in Christ. We are to affiliate, cooperate and fellowship with other local churches who share common values in faith and practices. We see our church as a networking church that reaches and shares God’s ministry experiences and resources. We also hope to be enriched by them through our fellowship.

 

 Core Values

There are four core values in OBMBC’s ministry.

1)Jesus Christ is the center of our focus in our worship and all of our practices. He is the center of all that we stand for, believe and do.

2)We are to practice Christian love and unity among our multi-ethnic members in God’s truth. The church is the body of Christ where there is unity in diversity.

3)As we are one body in Christ, we work together according to our individual calling under the headship of Jesus Christ in unity.

4)We are to engage in our community with compassion, love and truth as we share about God’s love to them.

  STATEMENT OF FAITH

  1. We believe that the Holy Scripture (The Bible) is the final authority, infallible, without error, verbal inspiration of God.  We believe that Bible reveals God, the fall of man, the way of salvation, and God’s plan and purpose in the ages for the matter of faith and practice.

  2. We believe in Trinity God; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

  3. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; divine and human; in His Virgin Birth; in His sinless life; in His miracles and that Jesus took on Himself all our sins, died and rose again bodily, and is seated at the right hand of the Father as our mediator and advocate; and in His visible and personal return in power and glory.

  4. We believe that salvation is by God’s grace through faith in Christ Jesus alone, and cannot be earned, deserved, inherited or bought.

  5. We believe that men are justified by faith alone and are accounted righteous before God only through the merit of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

  6. We believe that each believer will be resurrected to eternal life, whereas unrighteous will be raised to the judgment of God.

  7. We believe in Universal Church, which contains the believers who confess Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior as well as in Local Church where the believers can have fellowship and be spiritually nourished.
