Small Group

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about each others than larger groups are. For that reason, our church has small groups gathering right after the worship service. In addition, weekly Bible studies held in member homes. The size of the group is anywhere from six to twelve people. At a time designated by your group leader you can participate in the small group study. Weekly, we meet on Friday night at members’ homes in Oakland city and on Saturday night at Stephen Hub, Fremont/Union cities.

Youth Ministry

Each Sunday, children get to participate in their own classes in addition to Saturdays evening gathering at Stephen Hub for Bible study and outing game nights. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction. The youth ministry of our church is recognized for their meaningful interaction with kids. Children Sunday school classes begin at 1PM after their English worship service at 11 AM.

Young Adults

Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The young adult group of our church provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people. Pastor La Hkawng and his team are proactively engaging in the lives of young adults. They meet every Sunday after service at small group gatherings. You are wanted!

Married Couples

Even though marriage is one of the most important institutions, it is the one which is under the most attack–internally and externally. The married couples are proactively pursuing in marriage classes including topics such as Marriage and Money, Getting Ready for Kids, Shepherding Children, and Marriage and Sex. They meet casually around the dinning tables for sharing our family life experiences during Sundays. You will be surprised how much you learn from others in those conversations.

Over 50’s

Once you get past fifty, the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the over-50 group of Senior Community provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. A mentoring ministry gives older believers a chance to meet with and help younger believers grow in Christ. Our seniors members are actively attending weekly services. We are encouraged by their present among us. You are welcome to our senior and adult fellowship. Each week, they meet together at a small group for encouragements and fellowship.
